Does French Cafe design and modern go together?

I'm decorating my room, I have awning red walls and light oak floors. I want to put an round iron table, which you see in outside cafes in Europe. It will be black. I also want to put a small two person seating area a few feet away from it, it will be espresso coloured with light yellow and dark red stripes. A few cafe pictures will be put up around the room as well. Will this clash with my modern bed, dresser, and night stand?
