Prior strike and 5 year probation will he do a lot of time or dismissed?

My Boy friend, was on 5 year probation for a 211 :/ and a strike he got out august 26 2008 and was doing everything good he would go see his probation once a month came out clean on every test had a full time well paying job, sep 4th 2009 there was an incident these guys started a fight with my bf and his buddy there was 6 of them and two on my boyfriends side there were basically trying to defend themselves, so they hear cops and my bf and his friend run because my bf knows if he gets caught for any lil thing is bad because he is on probation and has a strike, so they run and they get caught of course they think is their fault cus they ran so he goes to jail gets bail out a week later goes talks to his probation and she takes him in ( she tells him) im sorry to have to do this cause I know you were doing so well but is my job there charging him for a 245, and vandalism and something else about gang conspiracy now hes stuck in jail hoping he doesn't get a lot of time but it doesn't look good we got an attorney but he doesn't seem very help ful, he was really doing good just was at the wrong place at the wrong time :( any advice?
