The pope came to America and Forgot to do something?

Ok,Every time the Pope goes to a country and gets off the plane & he kisses the land. But he came to America and I watched on the news. He NEVER kisses America's land. Why didnt he kiss our land like he kisses all the other lands in other countrys? Its normally the first thing he does. Im catholic and I want to know why he didnt bless American Land. He always blesses the land and sadly he didnt bless America.
