Liver disease? My friend is a weekend heavy drinker he is on alot of medications.?

The cholesterol medications can increase the liver function tests. He should be getting this test done for his liver functions regularly anyway. The drinking will not help. Unfortunately, a drinker will never stop drinking for someone else; only because they decide to. It's great you want to help him out but perhaps encouraging him to seek counseling in general would get a better result.
