Did giving Gripe Water to your baby make her more fussy?

I recently tried gripe water with my 6 week old because she was fussy and seemed to have a lot of gas and needed to be burped alot, even if she hadn't eaten. But I found it to make her spit up more and even throw up. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
